How to film a makeup tutorial video with both iPhone cameras
A makeup tutorial asks a camera to do two jobs a single lens cannot do at once: show the technique happening on your face, and show the product itself — the swatch, the brush, the exact shade going on — close enough to actually judge. Tap each frame once before you start, even the one that already looks acceptable, since exposure compensation rides along with the same tap. Retap the product side specifically whenever you bring a new item closer to the lens than the last one — a fresh distance is a fresh focus decision, and it is a live control the whole time you are recording, not something locked at the start.
One sitting, not a moving routine — but still worth shooting in steps
A get-ready-with-me has to plan around light changing as the routine moves from a bathroom to a closet; a tutorial usually does not, because it stays in one spot for its whole length. That is the one part of this that is genuinely easier here — set the light once and it holds for the entire video.
What does not change is that a dual-camera recording runs straight through from record to stop with no pause in the middle, and resolution, mute and the countdown are fixed the instant you press record.
